About Michelle Herzog
Over two decades in health and wellness — and a lifelong connection to horses.
Where every discipline meets - on purpose.
Michelle Herzog has spent over 20 years working in the health and wellness field — first as a Certified Nutritional Therapist and Functional Blood Chemistry Analyst, helping clients understand the story their lab work tells long before symptoms become diagnoses.
Prior to that clinical work, Michelle spent more than a decade training horses professionally, specializing in behavioral issues. That background gave her a deep, practical understanding of equine movement, biomechanics, and the ways physical restriction and behavior are inseparable — skills that now directly inform her equine massage and acupressure work.
What she offers today isn't a collection of unrelated services — it's the intersection of everything she loves most. She has watched massage change people's relationship with their own bodies. She has seen functional testing reveal the root of health struggles that had gone unaddressed for years. And she gets to be in the barn. For Michelle, that combination isn't a compromise — it's exactly where she's meant to be.
Credentials & Training
A broad foundation built to serve the whole picture.

Licensed to practice therapeutic massage, with training in Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, cupping, and aromatherapy modalities. (Lic# 123456)
Certified Nutritional Therapist (CNT)
Trained to assess nutritional imbalances and support the body through whole-food, foundational nutrition — addressing root causes rather than symptoms.
Functional Blood Chemistry Analyst (FBCA)
Specialized training in interpreting comprehensive blood panels through a functional lens — identifying patterns and trends that standard lab ranges often miss.
Equine Massage Therapist & Acupressure Practitioner (EMT, EAP)
Trained and licensed in equine soft tissue therapy and acupressure, with a professional background in horse training and a strong veterinary foundation that informs every evaluation.
A whole-person — and whole-animal — approach.
Michelle's approach is rooted in a simple belief: the body is always talking. Whether she's working with a client whose functional labs reveal a pattern of chronic inflammation, a person carrying years of tension in their shoulders, or a horse whose behavioral resistance is actually a pain response — the work is always about listening carefully and responding to what's actually there.
Every service she offers exists because she has personally witnessed its impact. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason Ridgefield Massage Therapy exists in the first place.
